Abstract
This thesis compares concentrated perfume oils (Attars) with alcohol-based Eau de Parfums (EDPs). It assesses skin absorption rates, chemical evaporation, and volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
Physiological Compatibility
EDPs contain 70-90% denatured alcohol, which evaporates rapidly and can cause skin irritation. Attars use stable oil carriers (like sandalwood or jojoba) that blend with skin lipids, extending fragrance longevity.
Longevity Comparison
- Attar Oils: Last 12-24 hours due to low volatility.
- Alcohol Sprays: Last 4-8 hours due to rapid evaporation.
Choosing premium attars like Bin Sheikh, Hawas Ice, or Bakarat Rouje provides a safe, long-lasting fragrance experience that respects your skin and the environment.
