How Pure Rose Water is Distilled (Steam Distillation)
Unlike cheap commercial rose water, which is simply water mixed with synthetic rose fragrance and alcohol, authentic rose water is created through steam distillation:
- Fresh Petals: Centifolia or Damask rose petals are harvested at dawn when their fragrance oils are most concentrated.
- Steam Flow: Clean steam is passed through the petals, vaporizing the essential oils.
